A complete game and a shutout.

The Rangers played small ball. The Rangers played bash the ball off the wall ball. The Rangers pitched. The Rangers went into Seattle and did something they rarely do. They won. 5-0.

The offense exploded up and down the lineup. Brandon Nimmo led off the game with a home run. Josh Jung hit three doubles. Corey Seager, two. Danny Jansen, one. Evan Carter bunted for a hit, and a sacrifice. Jake Burger got three hits. So did Wyatt Langford.

Then there was the shutout. Jacob deGrom ran up his pitch count early and was pulled after four innings. The Rangers bullpen parade of Gavin Collyer, Tyler Anderson, Jalen Beeks, Cole Wynn, and Jacob Latz held the struggling Mariners scoreless the rest of the way.

In the end, it was about as perfect of a game as could be. Five runs scored, fifteen hits. Zero runs allowed, only six hits given up.

Texas has now beaten Seattle four games out of four. This bodes well for the season. You always want to beat your division rivals.

Last night, they beat them in the most satisfying manner.
