Welcome back, Langford.

Finally.

After wandering in the wilderness for the season, full of promise but oozing disappointment, Wyatt Langford is contributing.

He started the season slow, hitting just .238 with one home run in the Rangers first 23 games. Then, injury kept him out the next 40 games.

His return was less than eventful: a .130 average in six games. Then it clicked in. In his last nine games, he’s hitting .432, with a remarkable 1.313 OPS, and four homers.

His three-run shot in the third against Lucas Giolito catapulted the Rangers to a 4-3 victory over the Padres, and a series win.

The Rangers have been waiting for Langford to get hot. It appears the time has come.

Finally.
