Rangers swept.

Joc Pederson’s first hit of the year was a game-tying home run in the Reds 2-1 loss.

Well, that was a lost weekend.

The Rangers came home riding the high of a 4-2 road trip. Their homecoming hit a brick wall with a devastating thud, being swept in their first home series of the year by Cincinnati, managing to score only four runs in the three-game series.

The offense they displayed on the road was nowhere to be seen at home. All they could muster the final eighteen innings was one run, generating in the most unlikely way: Joc Pederson’s first hit of the season, a solo home run.

So, after winning four games in a row, the Ranges turn around and lose four straight. The offense that was non-existent the past two years is still missing in action.

Wyatt Langford is batting .150. Joc Pederson is .059. Josh Smith is at .115 and Josh Jung is .138.

This is getting old.

Now the Rangers face the Mariners for their first three games against a division rival. Seattle is coming to for three games. Hopefully, Texas figures out how to hit. They can’t afford to bury themselves into too big of a hole
