The Rangers schedule is interrupted today by the World Cup. There are games being played in Jerry World, which would have made for chaos had the Rangers also played. So, they are sitting today out.

Like they seemed to sit yesterday out.

The Rangers, in fact, would probably do better as a soccer team. They score about as often—last night mustering only two runs. That’s a game’s worth of scoring for most World Cup teams. 

Texas was down 10-0 before they scored their first run in the fourth, on a mighty ground out. They flailed around for nine innings, getting only eight hits. 

So, if want to see offense, if you want to see scoring, tune into a World Cup game. You’re not going to see it watching the Rangers.
