Winning streak Gored.   Recently updated !

Rangers starter MacKenzie Gore picks up his first of 7 Ks.

You knew the winning streak couldn’t last. MacKenzie Gore had already had one great start, expecting another would be asking too much.

Reality returned in the second inning. Gore allowed the Guardians to score five runs, and with that, the six-game winning streak was over.

But, true to form, he struck out seven batters. The two constants with Gore are he will give up a lot of runs but he will strike out a lot of batters in between the runs he gives up.

He’s exactly as advertised, and what the Rangers plunked five prospects to get: A high strikeout, high ERA, five-inning starter. In fact, Gore is in the top twenty this year in strikeouts.

He gets a lot of players walking back to the dugout. Many carrying their bats in their hands after strike three. Many, winded after running around the bases and touching home.

Let the next streak start today. Gore doesn’t start again for five games
