In Delino we trust? 265 comments

It will be curious to see how Delino DeShields does this year. He wasn’t on the radar in 2015 but forced himself into the picture and into the lineup. In fact, he was a knight in shining armor, coming to rescue the top of the lineup that was mired in […]

More news from home. 307 comments

From Evan Grant in the Dallas Morning News, a story about the Rangers scouting out the catching market. It looks like the Rangers are being pretty active. It’s not, they say, because they don’t like Chirinos, it’s because they have no depth at the position behind Chirinos. But I would think either Norris […]

What matters. 275 comments

Not that defense matters but defense matters. Nick Martinez realized that on Thursday when a catchable fly ball between new left fielder Ian Desmond and returning center fielder Delino DeShields was not caught. The first batter of the game hit a fly ball that was lost in the sun. Which […]

Rumors still out there. 359 comments

Some rumors won’t go away. Even after the Rangers signed Ian Desmond to play left, yesterday rumors still have Texas in talks for Milwaukee’s Jonathon Lucroy. According to MLB.com, the Rangers are in the hunt. All it will take is Lewis Brinson and Luke Jackson.

Off Broadway. 164 comments

The Rangers’ baseball show closed off Broadway yesterday. Mike Broadway that is. Mike Broadway gave up the game-winning single to Ronald Guzman in a thankless task of coming in with two on, one out, and the two tying runs having already scored off his predecessor, Ian Gardeck. In case you were […]
