It’s so wonderful to see the Rangers offense click. It’s so frustrating to see the Ranger offense click.
You watch it when it’s good and wonder, why can’t they do this more often? And the next two or three games, they drop their meat in the dirt and you wonder, are they ever going to be able to get a hit with runners in scoring postion.
Maybe just having Seager back in the lineup is the catalyst they need, even though he went 0-for-3 with two walks. Sometimes there’s comfort in knowing the big man is there.
The Rangers end the first half of the season at 39-42, adrift in a sea of chaos on a rudderless raft.
The reality is, they do have the offense to make a run if somehow it all clicked. But they don’t have the rotation to back up the offense. Last year, it was the other way around, except the rotation was good all year. This year the offense is good in spurts.
Spurts doesn’t create winning streaks.
