Just exactly like every single Rangers fan who is rational and sane could have predicted, the day after their most dramatic win, they hit a brick wall. One hit, a shutout loss, an embarrassing offensive display. 

This team does not have the ability to be good. They are destined for average. 

They might actually make the playoffs because the league is so bad. But if they do, who cares? Really, who cares if this team makes the playoffs? They aren’t good.

They might win tomorrow to win the series. But who cares? It’s a team that is hard to watch because they are so inconsistent. It’s difficult to watch because their games are broadcast on scattered outlets. 

It’s just a matter of time before this team is buried too far down to even rationally talk about that third wildcard.

Right now, they are there. But, really, who cares? Why bother getting your hopes up?
