Two in a row.   Recently updated !

Rangers rounding 1st: Justin Foscue hits a two-run homer in the third.

“Alright you guys, let’s listen up. We won a game yesterday. We win one today, that’s two in a row. We win one tomorrow, that’s called a winning streak. It has happened before.”

That’s the classic line from the manager in the movie Major League.

After the Rangers 5-4 win over the Blue Jays, they have now won two in a row. But three in a row? A winning streak? It’s been a while. It was the beginning of this month, in fact.

They had their longest winning streak of the season, five games, from Friday, May 29 to Tuesday, June 2. Since then, though, the most they could muster is two wins in a row.

Winning two in a row seems to be the norm for the Rangers. Since reeling off four in a row after their opening day loss, the most in a row they had is the aforementioned five-game streak. No three-gamers. That’s why they’re in the predicament they’re in. They cannot sustain anything.

Two wins in a row is about all this team can boast. But if they somehow win one today, that’s called a winning streak. And that’s called rare indeed.
